By using diagnostic tools where necessary, we can often reach recovery much quicker and in the best manner for your pet or horse. We offer the following level of modern diagnostics.

Corrin Vet Hospital Blood Testing

Our in house laboratory consists of the most modern Haematology and Biochemistry blood analysers. This service allows us to diagnose conditions effectively, and as a result initiate the appropriate treatment soonest. We also screen animals in our “geriatric” clinics for various conditions as part of our preventative packages. If you suspect that your pet or horse is not “itself” we can often identify causes using our specialist in house blood analyses.

Radiography

Our top of the range digital radiography at Corrin Veterinary Hospital allows our vets to detect many subtle conditions at an early stage, with greater clarity. We can detect fractures, internal organ disorders, skull and reproductive disorders with the use of our digital radiography service. This is additionally used for equine lameness investigations and pre-purchase examinations. Our system ensures that best quality radiographs are taken, processed and stored with your pets’ records while also maintaining very high & safety standards. Your pets care is our priority at all times.

Ultrasonography

Our advanced ultrasound equipment provides clear, real-time images of internal organs such as the heart, urinary bladder, spleen, kidneys and the liver, from which many conditions can be diagnosed. We also use ultrasonography for reproductive scanning in all species including dog, cat and horses.
